|Step 1: 20-minute foot soak
Fill a basin or tub with warm water and optionally add 1/4 cup of Epsom salt. Stir the water to dissolve the salt. Sit back and relax for 20 minutes as you soak your feet. Special Note: If you have diabetes, you may have to limit the foot soak to just 5 minutes.
|Step 2: Buffing
Use a pumice stone or foot file to gently smooth and buff away any corns, calluses, and dry skin. Use gentle, circular movements. Be sure to rinse your feet every 1-2 minutes to wash away dead skin. Continue scrubbing gently until your feet are smooth. Give them one final rinse to remove any remaining dead skin, then dry them well.
|Step 3: Moisturize
Begin with one foot. Massage a good amount of Glysolid (about the size of a hazelnut) all over your foot, concentrating on the dry areas. Some of the cream may be absorbed by your skin, but much of it should remain on the surface, functioning as a leave-on conditioner. Without putting your foot on the ground, immediately put on a clean sock. Repeat this step with the other foot. The socks will allow the cream to stay on your feet, moisturizing your feet throughout the day. Leave the socks on for the rest of the day or, if you've followed these steps in the evening, leave the socks on during the night while you sleep.
